William McDonald Award .... THE COMMISSIONER
The most renowned Assignor in the history of Eastern Massachusetts high school athletics. Whether you were a baseball umpire, basketball or football official, you either worked, or aspired to work for Bill McDonald. Assigning and officiating three sports at the highest level for almost 50 years, Bill characterized and epitomized the true definition of a great official. Throughout his illustrious career, Bill, not only distinguished himself, but inspired and contributed to the successful careers of hundreds, if not thousands of his brother officials.
